About us
GlassRihla is a lifestyle and resource hub for teachers and professionals inspired to explore life abroad, embracing new cultures, personal growth, and the balance of family and career. We aim to empower, connect, and support a global community of educators on their journeys of discovery and transformation. This vision statement shows the purpose of my blogging as a teacher who has moved abroad from Uk to Qatar, including reasons why, the changes in teaching, the evaluation process, as well as my wife’s journey from a teacher and parent to stay at home. It will also show us pursuing our passions such as travel, family time and lifestyle changes . This is done in the hope that our transparency allows people to pursue their travel/work dreams, specifically teachers and education professionals as well as wider professionals. GlassRihla was selected as a name due to 2 components; glass to reflect the transparency of our company, Rihla is a book by a traveller Ibn Hattuta who journaled his journey as he travelled the word, mirroring our reflections of our journey. There will be blogs across a wide range of topics, and hopes to allow other teachers who are on similar journeys to eventually contribute too, possibly becoming an open source teachers journals, although this isn’t in the immediate plans. This is primarily a social media page (instagram) so maybe a space for social media posts would be great. The main things to mention are: blogging, transparency, travel, freedom to pursue goals.
